Piana delle Orme Museum

Piana delle Orme Museum is an outdoor museum park in the district of Latina among the largest of its kind in Italy.

The museum, private, comes from the collection of Mariano De Pasquale and is continuously enriched. They are collected in the museum about 50,000 artifacts of the most different: toys, tools, objects of daily life, tractors and water pump used for the reclamation and after rehabilitation, trams, cars, motorcycles, weapons and military equipment such as aircraft, tanks , helicopters, jeeps, rifles, bullets, uniforms, etc …

The material is kept in multiple pavilions organized along two main thematic routes. One of the two routes is related to the reclamation of the Marshes Pontine in particular at the farming life in Italy. The second routes it is relative to the war events of World War II in which is involved Italy and Lazio. Every pavilions take on a particular theme through specific educational reconstructions (also animated and acoustics) where you will find the original objects.

Dedicated to the twentieth century, the museum complex is a journey through 50 years of Italian history. Over 30 thousand  meters of exhibition to tell the traditions and culture of civilization, the great works of reclamation of the Pontine Marshes, the Second World War, but also to show the vehicles and the dawn means of the great industrialization and the toys with which they entertained the children once. A museum for everyone, within children and adults can rediscover and relive the twentieth-century era.

The reception services offer Bar, Restaurant, Picnic Area, Events Area, Congress Room and Shop.

Many events are organized by the Museum each month are open to all.
